planetblueprints.com is a subsidiary of O’Connor CAD Services. The company was formed in 1985 to provide drafting services to commercial and industrial engineers and architects primarily in the Philadelphia area. Many of our early projects involved HVAC and electrical lighting drafting. Eventually our client base extended into New Jersey and Delaware and into chemical lab and residential drafting. With increased demand for residential design services we moved our base of operations to Delaware while maintaining much of our Pennsylvania/New Jersey clientele. With the advances of the internet we were anxious to develop new design tools which would permit us to provide quality construction documentation to assist property owners, builders, contractors and architects with their design/drafting needs. planetblueprints.com is proud to offer custom blueprint services to every state in the United States including Hawaii and Alaska. planetblueprints.com is a member in good standing with the National Association of Home Builders, and the Better Business Bureau, and the American Design Drafting Association. Ed O’Connor is our founder and supervising design engineer. He attended schools in suburban Philadelphia before obtaining his engineering degree from Penn State University. He served six years in the Coast Guard Reserve as a machinery technician. While serving his country, Ed also served as an apprentice to a few premier engineers and architects, honing his trade as a first rate design engineer. Ed has overseen the growth of his company and it’s many diverse projects including schools, retail stores, townhouses and condos. For the past several years Ed has steered the business almost exclusively toward custom home design as the company’s specialty. He was especially proud that O’Connor CAD Services was selected to do all the drafting for the renovations of Independence Hall in Philadelphia in 1997. He also was gratified to receive a letter of commendation from Habitat for Humanity in 2001 for designs the company has provided that charity. At 38 years old, Ed is looking forward to new opportunities to expand the business and bring design services wherever they are needed.

Jerry Lamb is a full partner and the Business Manager of the company. He has over 35 years of corporate management experience ranging from  Assistant Vice-President of a bank in the 70’s in Michigan, Vice President of a mortgage company in the 80’s in Pennsylvania and President of a financial services company in the 90’s in Delaware. Jerry joined the company several years ago on a part-time basis and in 2001 agreed to accept a full-time position with the company. In 2003 Ed O’Connor named Jerry a full partner. Jerry has directed the substantial growth of the company in internet sales and service and is positioning planetblueprints.com to be a serious player in the niche market of custom home design.
